Introduction
Perrinepod welcomes corporate clients to this site, which should be viewed as a preliminary introduction to our services, which include:
- Provision of residential and commercial prefabricated building solutions including multistorey projects.
- Design and architectural services, and project analysis.
- Retrofit prefabricated interior building solutions.
The projects listed under this section are typical current projects being undertaken by Perrinepod across Western Australia, and should provide our corporate clientele a range of examples of the flexibility and efficiency of the Perrinepod system.
Perrinepod has established itself as a market leader in the delivery of sustainable and commercially viable built form. Further details are available in the subsections below, profile, plans and specifications, and video.
Leading Corporate and Institutional advocates say this about Perrinepod:
“As a Member of Parliament, I am focused on achieving quality, sustainable housing in a timely and affordable manner. For this reason I became supportive of the rationale and commitment of Jean-mic du Buisson Perrine in developing the Perrinepod.
The commitment to sustainability and ethical building practices is a high priority. The actual cost of housing provision to the Government (and private sector) need to encompass ongoing maintenance, power usage (due to environmental design and materials) and transportation.
As the current surge in our regional economy shows, we need cyclone-proof quality housing built to last at least 30 years - yet if in 1 year there is a glut/downturn in iron ore we may suddenly no longer need 400 extra homes in South Hedland, but we could need them in Derby. The advantage of the moveable Perrinepod is that it future-proofs the initial investment for Government.”

“Celebrated Perth innovator Jean-mic Perrine has taken his exploration and understanding of the urban condition to new heights. Never one to sit back and let the world unfold around him, Jean Mic’s Perrinepod provides answers to housing affordability and building sustainability in one swoop whilst still retaining that fabulous distinctive contemporary style that Jean Mic is famous for. Where do I sign up for a Pod?"

“I believe that the benefits and application of the Perrinepod are numerous, but the superior feature would be in their flexibility and suitability to any location. The focus is on simplicity and the ability to adapt to varying landscapes and preferred architectural finishes / styles
In combination with the reputation and track record of Perrine Architecture, it has the capacity to be one of the most important assets to a community striving toward long term delivery of quality, sustainable and affordable residential options”

Carnarvon Sea Change Apartments (2008)
The initial corporate delivery of the Perrinepod in the form of a multi-storey solution was undertaken in 2008 in the town of Carnarvon, in Northern Western Australia. It has yielded to the developer a completed project in record time for the location, offering the highest quality of accommodation available in the region.
The small motel development complies with Class 3 building requirements under the BCA, and is an excellent example of the development potential in remote locations for high quality resort and motel accommodation.
The development comprises 4 x 6M Perrinepods configured as 48 m2 1 Bed, 1 Bathroom apartments and 2 x 9M Perrinepods which are 72 m2, 2 Bed, 1 Bath apartments.
Similar projects in remote locations can be delivered for between $4,000 and $4,500 per square metre, all-inclusive. A timeframe of 10 weeks from commencement of construction to practical completion would be typical for a project of this scale.
